Five members of the Coventry based gang P1 have been jailed for a plot to flood the city with nearly £3million of cocaine. All of the men played a role in smuggling drugs from Holland and selling on the streets of the West Midlands.
The gang leader, Truman Jones, 22, was jailed for 11 years and eight months. He will serve half the sentence before being released on license. Other gang members have been jailed for a total of 75 years and six months.
The gang have also been linked to several violent crimes in the city. So far 23 people linked to P1 have been brought before the courts and those involved in drugs or possessing weapons have received significant prison sentences.
