Jiervon Bartlett, 15 of Northolt, and Nayed Hoque, 14 of Mile End, have been sentenced to six years detention after mugging an 85 year old woman and causing fatal injuries. The pair then used her money and bankcard to buy food and mobile phone credit.

Paula Castle fell to the ground after the mugging in Oldfield Lane South, Greenford, and died a day later after suffering facial injuries and a fatal head wound.

Both Bartlett and Hoque admitted manslaughter. The judge lifted an anonymity order of the pair because of the seriousness of the crime.
