David Hickman, a 38 year-old gym owner from Birmingham, was murdered by ex-semi professional boxer Thomas Powell, 49, a court has heard.
Mr. Hickman barred Powell from the gym due to a previous feud. This infuriated Powell, and the pair fought on 9th July 2012.
Mr. Hickman suffered a broken neck after the two men fell from a second story walkway during the struggle; he was paralysed and died 12 days later in hospital.
Powell has denied the murder charge. He told the police he acted in self defence and that the fall was accidental.
