Family’s relief as couple convicted of murder of Coventry dad
A callous couple were today starting life sentences for the murder of a Coventry dad.
A jury returned guilty verdicts on Dana Webb and her boyfriend Raymond McEnery after a four-week trial.
Peter Wilson, aged 47, who served in the RAF for 16 years, was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife at his flat in Honiley Court, Wood End, in June 2010.
Speaking after yesterday’s verdicts, his only child Sinead Noone said: “I am so happy to have
justice for my dad… he was a lovely man, he always made me smile.”
She added: “I was heartbroken the day I found out he was gone and we have been waiting two years for this day.”
Pair jailed for Coventry murder
TWO PEOPLE convicted of murdering a 47-year-old man from Coventry have received a 12 year prison sentence today (Thursday 2 February).
Raymond McEnery, 55, and Dana Webb, 34, both from Binswood Close, Wood End, Coventry were sentenced at Coventry Crown Court.
Peter Wilson was found dead at his home address in Honiley Court, Lillington Road, Counden, Coventry at around 9am on Friday morning.
He had been stabbed and left to die alone.
A murder investigation was immediately launched and McEnery and Webb were arrested in July.
Detective Inspector Martin Slevin, who headed the investigation, said: “Webb and McEnery have shown no remorse for their actions and throughout their police interviews attempted to cover-up their actions by telling lie after lie.
