Pair who hid heroin in coffee jars jailed
Two members of a drugs gang which used Asda coffee jars to run thousands of pounds worth of heroin and crack from Wolverhampton to Aberdeen have been jailed.
Electrician Leonard Dixon was given 10 years, while Melanie Clarke, the “spider at the centre of the web” who confessed and gave evidence for the prosecution, was given four years and two months.

Electrician faces jail for drug gang aid
Asda coffee tins were used by drug couriers to transport heroin and cocaine between the Black Country and Aberdeen, a court heard.
An electrician was facing jail today after being convicted of helping a gang in the illegal drugs trade between the two regions.
Jurors found Leonard Dixon guilty at the end of a two week trial of conspiracies to ship the drugs to Scotland.

Cops hunt for members of alleged drug gang in the Midlands
COPS were today on the hunt for two alleged members of a multi-million pound drug gang that smuggled heroin into the Midlands.
Derek Jones and Carl Wilson are on the run despite two other members of the group having been prosecuted.
Leonard Dixon and Melanie Clark were today facing prison spells over the supply of class A drugs between Wolverhampton and Aberdeen.
Their operation was crushed in February last year when more than 60 officers were sent out on dawn raids.
