This talk will look at the value and challenges of CTG traces both in medical practice and in medical negligence casework as well as the relevant guidance for their interpretation. The seminar will be in part a workshop to looking at the basic principles to consider when interpreting the traces.
The seminar aims to provide practitioners with an overview of CTGs to assist with risk assessment of cases, the application and interpretation of CTGs in inquest work, drafting instructions and asking specific questions of obstetric and midwifery experts and to facilitate a greater understanding of expert evidence/conferences with Counsel during the case management process.
