Tim has over 30 years experience representing a broad range of clients but is now primarily engaged in serious trauma cases and cases involving clinical negligence. His involvement in these cases has led to him representing clients at Inquests in both these areas of law but he has also developed wider experience of Inquest and Coronial Law generally where he has an established and impressive reputation.
Examples of recent Inquests include representing the deceased’s family regarding the treatment of a road accident victim who developed a pulmonary embolism, the suicide of a resident at a care home as well as numerous road accidents involving cyclists and motorcyclists.
Tim has also represented parties in inquests concerning accidents at work and the HSE. Recent cases have involved an explosion at a cement works and electrocution in the loft of industrial premises.
In addition to the above Tim has been involved in Inquests involving deaths in Police custody and deaths in prison.
Appointments
Tim is a recently appointed Trustee of “Kissing it Better” – a charity focused on the improvement of the experience of patients in hospitals and other care institutions.
Memberships
Tim is a member and former Secretary of PIBA and a former member of the Bar Council

Tim is a qualified Mediator
