Teresa practices exclusively in the areas of personal injury and clinical negligence acting for both Claimants and Defendants. Much of her work is now of a complex nature and / or of substantial value.
Teresa’s personal injury practice includes the following areas:
- Serious brain injury;

- Serious spinal injury;
- Pain disorder;
- Psychiatric injury (including secondary victim claims);

- Public liability (including occupiers and highways cases);
- Employer’s liability;
- Fatal accident litigation with complex dependency claims;

- Road traffic accident claims with complex insurance issues and /or claims against the MIB;

- Clinical negligence
- Criminal Injuries compensation claims
Teresa is involved in these claims from the early stages, providing initial advice on liability and quantum, attending interlocutory hearings and drafting pleadings, as well as taking the cases through to joint settlement meetings and trial. She has a reputation for robustness, sensitivity and attention to detail. She has specialist knowledge on procedural issues (such as breaches, admissions and limitation) and costs. She also advises Defendants and insurers on insurance policy issues.
Teresa has extensive experience of coroner’s inquests, including Article 2 inquests, where she represents families, companies and NHS trusts.
Teresa also lectures to solicitors and insurer clients on all aspects of personal injury litigation and recent developments.
