together with five highly experienced barristers specialising in immigration, asylum and human rights law from 6 King’s Bench Walk, in London.

Major Immigration Expansion at No5 Chambers
The new members include

Mahmud Al-Rashid

Edward Nicholson

Joanne Rothwell
. The enlarged team is further boosted by the addition of two more immigration barristers,
Nabila Mallick
from 7 New Square and
Ravinder Bagral
from Warwick House Chambers.
The moves underline the increasing importance and high profile cases being undertaken by No5, which already draws its experience from leading practitioners in the Immigration and Human Rights field, including a Deputy High Court Judge and three part-time Immigration Judges.
Manjit S Gill QC
, an international law specialist, is one of the foremost practitioners in this field and has been involved in many of the leading cases over the last 15 years. He was appointed silk in 2000 and is a member of the Bar Council’s Immigration Practitioners Accreditation Board and has previously assisted the Bar Council’s Committee deal with direct access to the Bar.
The newly enlarged immigration division headed by
Abid Mahmood
, undertakes cases throughout the UK and beyond, covering asylum, immigration, business immigration and EU law. Taking full advantage of its presence with offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol and its growing international links.
