Family barrister Victoria Clifford of No5 Barristers’ Chambers has been named Regional Bar Junior of the Year in the Legal 500 UK Awards for 2020.
Legal 500 described Victoria, who was called to the Bar in 2002, as ‘a real fighter, who’s always well prepared and very knowledgeable’ and added ‘she impresses in respect of her knowledge of the law and preparation of cases’.

The awards put the spotlight on the best in-house and private practice teams and individuals.
In public law, Victoria is often instructed by local authorities, parents, relatives, guardians and children at all stages of proceedings and conducts fact-finding hearings with complex issues.
She has a wealth of experience on cross-examining medical experts and has extensive experience of cases with allegations of sexual abuse, including inter-familial abuse.
Victoria also has a strong reputation in dealing with private law disputes, from advice before proceedings to enforcement of court orders.
She has an established financial remedy practice and is able to offer advice and representation to clients at all stages from pre-action to enforcement.
Victoria also has a particular interest in Children Act work with an international element and her work includes representing parties in child abduction cases.
