No5 Barristers to speak at the Human Rights Lawyers Association Annual Careers Day

Fri, 04 Oct 2019

On Saturday, 19 October 2019, the Human Rights Lawyers Association will be holding their annual careers day. Organised by its Young Lawyers Committee, the event aims to provide an insight into building a career with a particular focus on human rights principles from those engaged in the field – solicitors, barristers, academics, campaigners and others.

As part of a varied programme of events, No5 Barristers' Chambers Dr Chelvan and Michael Etienne (himself a former member of the Young Lawyers Committee) will both be speaking, as part of a panel considering what it would take for the law to become a profession that better represents the diversity of its clients.

More information about the event can be found here.

Enquiries about the event should be directed to the HRLA
