No5 Barristers’ Chambers launch ‘Get Shirty’ Campaign

Thu, 12 Oct 2017

No5, as Diamond Partner to Birmingham City Football Club, have teamed up with four local charities to launch the ‘Get Shirty’ Campaign.

The four charities involved in the initiative are Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Citizen Aid, Cure Leukaemia and St. Basils.  The campaign gives fans the opportunity to get involved and vote on who they would like to see on the back of the BCFC 1st team shirt for the Wolves match on Saturday 2nd December.

To vote, visit BCFC’s Twitter Page.  No5 will donate 50p per vote towards the charity fund.*

The winning charity will also appear on pitchside LED boards, on the big screen and in the matchday programme.

Ian Dutton, Head of Commercial at BCFC, said “We are delighted to be working alongside No5 Barristers’ Chambers to deliver what should be a fantastic campaign in support of four great causes. Donating their back of shirt sponsorship and matchday branding is very generous of No5 and will help provide some valuable exposure for the winning charity. I would like to encourage all supporters to head to our Twitter page and get involved in the vote!”

Tony McDaid, Chief Executive and Director of Clerking at No5 Barristers’ Chambers said: “Following on from the success of last season’s campaign where we donated our back of shirt sponsorship to Headway, we decided with there being so many amazing charities who deserve to have their logo emblazoned on the back of the Blues shirt, that we hand this difficult decision over to the fans to cast their vote.  I marvel at the fantastic work carried out by Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Citizen Aid, Cure Leukaemia and St Basils within our local community. I look forward to working together with the Blues to raise as much exposure and funds for each of these great causes as possible.”

 In addition, No5 will be hosting a fundraising evening prior to the match at St. Andrew’s in the Legends Lounge. The event will take place on Wednesday 29th November with a Blues vs Wolves theme.

Former Blues and Wolves legends (TBA) will be present at the event providing insight in to their careers as well as a preview on the upcoming fixture. In addition, there will be a Wolves vs Blues mastermind style quiz taking place. The Blues Legends and two barristers from No5 will be going head-to-head with their Wolves counterparts live on stage.  Finally, there will be an audience quiz round with some fantastic prizes for the winning table!

More details on this event including how to book will be revealed over the coming days.

* Up to a limit of £2,500
