The Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Groups at No5 Barristers’ Chambers have sponsored a major award at an annual ceremony staged by a leading national charity.
Headway, the brain injury association, held its awards event at the prestigious Dorchester Hotel, in London. The awards pay tribute to brain injury survivors, carers, volunteers and campaigners whose personal achievements have gained admiration and recognition from those around them.
The event included a champagne reception, followed by a gourmet lunch in the Dorchester’s ballroom, with the presentation of the Awards and a charity auction.
The Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Groups sponsored the Stephen McAleese Outstanding Contribution to Headway Award, which honours the inspirational people who have dedicated their lives to supporting the charity.
The award, presented by leading clinical negligence and personal injury barrister Henry Pitchers, went to John Smith who has been with the Headway Basingstoke branch for more than 20 years.
The finalists represent thousands of people across the UK who, day-in, day-out, demonstrate admirable determination to prove that there can be life after brain injury.

The No5 Barristers' Chambers Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Groups have more than 70 members, including four QCs, and works with its own team of highly-experienced clerks. The teams have specialist counsel practising in brain and other catastrophic injuries.
