Richard Jones QC - Technology & Construction
Richard was called to the Bar in 1972 and made a Silk in 1996. His practice encompasses disputes in the construction, engineering and product liabilty sectors in both contentious and non-contentious matters. He has wide-ranging experience of all aspects of these fields in litigation and has conducted numerous mediations and arbitrations on these matters (both domestic and international) and is regulary instructed by UK and overseas clients including major Blue Chip companies. Richard also has experience of handling professional negligence matters within all of these specialist fields.
He is also noted for his knowledge of the Financial Sevices sector and has lectured on such to the national ARBRIX conference.
Recent experience includes:-
Complicated dispute relating to man-made rivers in Libya, complex back to back construction and electronic supply contracts subject to laws of Sweden and Libya
Dispute arising out of complex agreements relating to tramway infrastructure
Disputes relating to oils supply contracts and oils processing components.
A claim in respect of robotic production line issues
A claim arising out of the construction of a car manufacturing plant
A claim in respect of the defective installation of under-floor units at a major residential development
A claim arising out of deep sea operations involving petroleum products
