Richard Adams - International Travel Litigation
Richard has considerable experience of travel litigation. He regularly acts on behalf of those who have suffered injuries abroad, and has expertise in cases involving the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992, Rome II, the Athens Convention and the 2002 Protocol, and the Montreal Convention. Indeed, Richard has recently given a seminar on the 2002 Protocol.
His caseload has included:
- Numerous claims involving gastroenteritis at ‘all inclusive’ hotels.
- A claimant who slipped on an icy path en route to an aircraft.
- Cases involving Legionnaires disease.
- Injuries occurring on cruise ships.
Richard is often asked to advise at an early stage in proceedings, and understands that it is very important to address the issues as swiftly as possible, ideally in conference. This is particularly important where evidence concerning local standards is required.
