Paul Evans Costs & Litigation Funding

Paul is an experienced costs practitioner, having had a costs practice at No5 Chambers for over 15 years.

Paul regularly undertakes Costs and Case Management hearings in the High Court and County Court for both claimants and defendants, in particular for high value and complex personal injury claims, where he is able to combine his costs expertise alongside his understanding of the issues in the substantive litigation.  Paul is happy to advise in advance of Costs and Case Management Hearings in respect of the preparation of budgets and budget discussion reports.

Paul appears at detailed assessment hearings on behalf of both paying and receiving parties both in the SCCO, and elsewhere before Regional Costs Judges, particularly those with preliminary issues including retainer issues, but Paul is equally comfortably dealing with the substantive bill and points of dispute as well.

Paul has undertaken costs appeals in the High Court, and is instructed in relation to specific costs orders, including non-party costs, wasted costs and other conduct issues and challenges to Provisional Assessments.
