Nicola Preston - Commercial Litigation
Nicola came to the Bar in 1992, after a successful academic career (at Wolverhampton University) which saw her publish over 50 articles and during which time she was a visiting Professor at University of Akron (1989-90), School of Law, Ohio, USA and also a Fulbright Fellow. She continues to publish regularly in journals such as the New Law Journal and the Law Society’s Gazette. She also edits the No 5 Commercial and Chancery Bulletin. Nicola also gives lecturers to groups such as Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners and local Law Society groups.
Nicola is now a specialist Chancery and Commercial practitioner. She is mentioned in Chambers 2008 as a notable practitioner, recommended in chancery. Also, in Legal 500 (2008) for her clear and positive approach and is “very good at emphasising the key points”.
Nicola undertakes all aspects of commercial litigation, from contractual disputes to VAT appeals.

Nicola is a member of the Chancery Bar Association and the Midland Chancery and Commercial Bar Association. She is Treasurer of the latter.
