Jennifer Fox - Commercial Litigation
Jennifer was a pupil at No5. On becoming a tenant, Jennifer developed a busy civil law practice and frequently appeared as an advocate before a wide range of Courts, Tribunals, and Disciplinary Bodies.
Jennifer now practises law in the British Virgin Islands (and has also practised in the Cayman Islands) with the leading international offshore law firm, Walkers. She specialises in international corporate, commercial, and insolvency litigation. Many of the cases in which Jennifer has acted involve commercial fraud and she is very experienced in obtaining and advising on all forms of pre-action relief and on asset-tracing and recovery strategies. She is particularly experienced in matters which involve foreign law, the conflicts of laws, and those with related claims or arbitrations in numerous jurisdictions. In addition, Jennifer's practice encompasses shareholder disputes (including minority oppression claims) and claims against directors for breach of fiduciary duty.
Prominent matters in which Jennifer has acted include contentious liquidation proceedings acting for Goldman Sachs; acting for the liquidators of an offshore feeder fund into the Madoff Ponzi Scheme; and for the liquidators of a defendant company in the long running AHAB v Saad fraud litigation.
Jennifer is a member of INSOL, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an honorary member of the Chancery Bar Association. She is a recommended lawyer in the 2015 International Who's Who of Asset Recovery Lawyers.
Jennifer remains an associate tenant at No5.
