James Dixon - Court of Protection
James has experience in all types of proceedings before the Court of Protection ranging from finance and property to welfare cases. The cases covered have encompassed those under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 as well as particular types of case under other mental health legislation (such as displacement of nearest relative).
His experience and expertise in public law means he well-placed to identify how other types of jurisdiction can impinge upon Court of Protection work and vice versa.
James won Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year Award at Birmingham Law Society Awards 2013.
