Carol Knotts - Personal Injury
Carol joined Chambers in 2011, having previously practised at another set for over 10 years. Carol practises exclusively in the areas of personal injury and clinical negligence.
Carol uses her extensive advocacy experience when she represents both Claimants and Defendants in Fast Track and Multi-track trials. She has also appeared in the Court of Appeal and the Division Court.
Carol is instructed in all areas of personal injury work from the earliest stages through to trial. Since being called to the Bar, she has had conduct of cases in the following areas:
• road traffic accidents
• claims involving allegations of fraud (including staged accidents, bogus passenger claims and claims arising from low velocity impacts)
• accidents at work
• criminal injuries compensation claims
• Coroners’ inquests
• Detailed assessments of costs
Carol also presents lectures to solicitors on current legal issues and civil procedure.

Agricultural Law Association – Carol has a particular interest in cases arising from agricultural accidents, and also in representing the agricultural community in cases involving breaches of regulatory law.
