Stephen Abberley Family

Stephen spends approximately 60% of his time on Public Law Children Act Cases, acting for Parents, Guardians and Local Authorities appearing at all levels from Family Proceedings Court to High Court with a special interest in factitious illnesses, brain injuries to infants and babies and sexual abuse cases.

Stephen’s practice extends to Private Law Children Act cases and ancillary relief with an established practice in Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 cases. Stephen is occasionally instructed for rule 9.5 Guardians. He also provides advice and representation in TOLATA cases.

Stephen is also experierenced in Hague Convention and Child Abduction Cases.
